Melvyn Bragg in discussion with one of the biggest selling bands in the world, the British multi award winning quartet, Coldplay.

Now, more than ten years into their career, the South Bank Show accompanies the global stars for six months, taking in their wins at this year’s Grammys in the Los Angeles, touring Japan, the Brit Awards and the Warchild concert in London; and spending time with them whilst they work on their next album in their north London studios, with Brian Eno.

In an intimate, behind-the scenes portrait, Melvyn Bragg talks in depth to each of the four band members: Chris Martin (vocalist), Johnny Buckland (lead guitarist), Guy Berryman (bassist) and Will Chapman (drummer) - and discuss their plans for the future.

The South Bank Show spans their career and meteoric rise, from their early days as students – even taking the film crew back to their student flat in Camden, and to the first venue they ever performed at, the Dublin Castle in Camden.

两支大约产于2005年的Demo歌曲目前已经流传到了互联网上，分别是Bloodless Revolution 和 Lovers In Japan。这两只歌诞生于Viva La Vida创作时期，同时也意味着Lovers In Japan这首歌已经4岁多了。

享受一场名为生命的狂欢

小记Coldplay Viva La Vida Tour香港站  by Thomas Chien

    3月25日，香港亚洲国际博览馆人声鼎沸，一切都为一个叫Viva La Vida的主题，一支叫Coldplay的乐队。置身人群之中，能够感觉到这不仅是一场演唱会，更是一场欢乐的派对、一次享受生命与色彩的体验。
    暖场乐队是相当有分量的Mercury Rev，表演开始时入场的观众还不多，相对于极简的灯光，音乐的飘渺华丽令人称赞。近四十分钟的长度令不少人心急如焚，但迷幻另类的风格与卖力演出得到了赞赏。随后，Coldplay的blog上也更新了鼓手Will的一段话，解释Mercury Rev对Coldplay的影响，并表达感谢。
